Gio Sebastian

Founder & Chief Creative Officer, BlkLyst

Gio Sebastian is a Los Angeles-based designer, visual storyteller, and Founder& Chief Creative Officer of BLKLYST, a private design studio built around thoughtful, human-centered creative work. After securing his first client at fifteen, Gio has spent his career collaborating closely with brands, production teams, founders, artists, and creative partners to develop work defined by clarity, restraint, precision, and long-term relevance.

 

Grounded in a traditional design and production background, Gio brings the same rigor and intentionality to emerging tools and technologies. He actively embraces new creative capabilities, including AI-assisted design, AI-driven film and image generation, visual development, editing, image compositing, and advanced post-production techniques, integrating them into a hands-on creative process rather than treating them as shortcuts. For Gio, technology functions as a force multiplier: expanding creative range, accelerating iteration, and enabling smarter production while preserving authorship, taste, and control.

 

As the highest-level creative lead at BLKLYST, Gio oversees brand identity, product design, packaging, visual systems, campaign assets, digital design, and production-ready creative across a range of industries. His practice also extends into film, television, music videos, and commercial production, where he has contributed graphics, visual assets, and creative support within fast-paced production environments. He remains closely involved from early concept through execution, translating ideas into cohesive visual systems that support both narrative intent and brand expression.

 

From 2023 to 2025, Gio served as In-House Head of Design for Good Money LLC and Le Bon Argent Champagne, leading creative development across brand identity, packaging, product presentation, campaign visuals, marketing collateral, and premium consumer-facing touchpoints. His work helped shape a luxury lifestyle and champagne brand positioned at the intersection of nightlife, entertainment, celebrity culture, and refined product storytelling.

 

Gio previously worked as Lead Graphic Designer and Creative Director in close collaboration with Playboy International during a period of significant product and brand expansion. His role supported Playboy’s product catalog across vapor products, CBD, apparel, lifestyle goods, and sexual wellness, with select work featured in Playboy Magazine. Additional projects have included creative work connected to CBS, Sony, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Tubi, and other entertainment, lifestyle, and consumer-facing brands.

 

Founded by Gio, BLKLYST operates as a private creative studio with an immersion-based philosophy rooted in human connection, trust, discretion, and precision. The studio works with a select group of clients, offering a high-touch approach to branding, creative direction, visual identity, and production support. Every project is treated as a partnership, with an emphasis on craft, clarity, and care typically associated with luxury work, while remaining adaptive, technologically fluent, and forward-looking without excess or affectation.
